Hopes, dreams, fantasies and emotions fill every brides’ shoes. Bridal footwear is ingrained with traditions dating back over the centuries.

Join costume historian Lois Valeo at another Girls’ Night Out visual journey through bridal shoe history. Hear the enchanting stories of long-ago brides and their shoes from the museum collection. View examples from antiquity to present day that reveal fascinating social and historical details. Consider iconic brides such as Princess Diana and Grace Kelly and how they captured our imagination.

Enjoy a glass of wine at 6:30 and adjourn to the Benjamin Lecture Hall at 7:00, and behold a magical tribute to the romantic and charming wedding shoe.
