Harper Lee's classic story of courage in the face of bigotry comes to the Firehouse stage this November. Join us to experience the crisis of conscience that rocked a small town.

First adapted as a riveting, must-see film starring Gregory Peck, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD was adapted for the stage and first presented in 1990 in Monroeville, AL, where it continues to be produced annually on the town square. This adaptation brilliantly unleashes the tension of the book, and how the courageous white lawyer, Atticus Finch, watched by his two children and their friend, defends, not only his black client, but also his own family, against small-town prejudice and violence.

Firehouse audiences will remember Director Stephen Faria from his award-winning work in the 2013 Firehouse production of The 39 Steps, particularly for making us roll in our seats laughing at his portrayal of The Clowns. He also wrote Boxed In, produced by the Firehouse in 2010 and has participated in multiple New Works Festivals, as both a playwright and director.
