The Liberator portrays the life of the famous abolitionist, William Lloyd Garrison, from his early days as a "printer's devil" apprenticed to Ephraim Allen, the publisher of the Newburyport Herald, through his long, and often lonely, years as the crusading editor of the foremost abolitionist journal of his day. Written by Jay Harris; directed by Maureen Daley.
