School for Spiritual Direction: The Nature of Spiritual Companioning

This session will introduce participants to a variety of approaches to spiritual direction. We will use large and small circle work as well as dyadic exercises, journaling, poetry and scripture as guides to spiritual direction through the centuries. Facilitator, Ken Orth was ordained a minister in the United Church of Christ in 1976, and became a Fellow of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors in 1980. Ken leads Healing Worship at Old South Church in Boston, part of his life-long journey to live into God’s vision of inclusive, healing love for all people.
