Old Newbury Bonfire-New Date
Event Description:
On Jan. 25, 2014, Protection #2, Newbury’s volunteer fire company, along with Historic New England and Tendercrop Farm, will host the 4th Annual Old Newbury Bonfire fundraiser. This fun family event commemorates the original purchase of the town on January 13, 1701, with a three-story Christmas tree bonfire. In addition to this featured event, families will enjoy music, games, tours, crafts, food, and the company of thousands of their neighbors! There is also a fun, high-energy auction with prizes like a ri...de to school in a fire truck, cords of wood, original art. One lucky winner will be the official lighter of the bonfire!
