Stroll through history while viewing 1800's images of Newburyport's maritime history.  The Merrimack Rive was once the busiest spot on the eastern seaport.  Commerce rivaled that of Salem and Boston.  Workmanship of vessels was well known around the world.  Among the builders in Newburyport were Donald McKay, John Currier, Jr. , and George W. Jackman, Jr. who built some of America's best known vessels of America's great days of sail.  join us and help celebrate Newburyport's 250th Anniversary.
