The City of Newburyport and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), are hosting a workshop titled “Flood Resilience for Newburyport.” This two day workshop is the result of a grant received by the City under the EPA Sustainable Communities Program for Riverine and Coastal Communities. Newburyport is one of only 5 communities in the Nation to have received this grant in 2015.

6:30pm to 8:30pm: Public Meeting. This public meeting will solicit input from the public about flooding impacts and solutions. EPA will provide a presentation, followed by discussion.
September 24th (Location TBD – City Hall Auditorium or Parker River Wildlife Refuge)
10am to 5pm: Stakeholders Workshop. EPA will provide a technical presentation in the morning, followed by a lunch break and afternoon working session to discuss strategies and solutions for increased resilience to riverine and coastal flooding. (See attached short agenda.)
