Art deepens our journey of faith. The craft of making special Ukrainian Easter eggs is both soulful and satisfying. This ancient art form unites faith, spirituality and unexpected beauty. The workshop includes demonstrations and discussion of the symbols common in this Ukrainian folk art. Participants will learn how to decorate eggs using a stylus, beeswax and dyes, creating several eggs during the workshop. Beginners are welcome and all materials are provided. Wear comfortable clothing and bring an apron if you wish. Participants will learn about “Razom” (www.razomforukraine.org) which means “together” in Ukrainian, and “Pysanky for Peace” (www.pysankyforpeace) and learn about ways to support Ukraine during this challenging time. Facilitator, Eliza Goodell, Ph.D., SCHC, is a clinical psychologist. She learned how to make Ukrainian Easter eggs in the 1990s and has been giving workshops ever since. Discovering how to decorate eggs during a time of transition gave her a lot of joy. She is passionate about sharing this inspirational craft woven with spiritual practice.
