Name: "Dead in the Water" Documentary Film Screening

Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Website: Click Here
Event Description:

A new documentary film dealing with the devastating impacts of federal regulations on the lives of New England ground fishermen will be shown at a Custom House Maritime Museum fundraiser screening on Wednesday, April 4th at 7:30 PM, followed by a Q&A discussion.

Come meet producer and director David Wittkower.  Doors will open at 7:00 pm providing an opportunity for attendees to meet the Rockport native prior to the screening.  Refreshments will be served.  Admission is $20.00 per person. All proceeds support the film.

In his sixth directorial effort, Wittkower provides a powerful, take-no-prisoners look at how NOAA’s oversight has driven New England’s commercial fishing industry onto the rocks. A documentary in the truest sense of the word — it documents, through historical context and the voices of numerous fishermen, advocates, politicians, and others, the all-but-inevitable results of nearly 25 years of misbegotten management.

If you, friends or associates hold interest in pressing local issues -- invite them to this screening of David Wittkower’s “Dead in the Water.” It is truly eye opening.
