
Harrington has toured with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of Buddy Morrow and is presently teaching at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. David Gould of Vandoren, the world-renowned manufacturer of reeds says "Danny Harrington plays honest valid jazz, his soulful ballads, rich tone and dexterity truly epitomizes a musician of great skill." Born in Providence, RI, Harrington now resides in Newburyport with his wife and daughter.
Senier is a veteran of the Boston jazz scene. He has played with the greats Herb Pomeroy, Dick Johnson, Gray Sargent, and Marshall Wood, among others. His influences include Tommy Flanagan, Jimmy Rowles, and Dave McKenna.
Carlsen, a Berklee College of Music graduate, toured with the Tommy Dorsey Band, led by trombonist Buddy Morrow, throughout the US, Canada, South American, and Japan. In 2004 he joined the Ryles Jazz Orchestra led by Frank Vardaros and more recently produced a duo CD with Jon Wheatley.
The Firehouse is delighted to welcome Les Harris Jr, a Newburyport native, back to our stage. Also a Berklee College of Music graduate, Harris began playing drums at a young age under the tutelage of Les Harris Sr, another Newburyport favorite. He has toured with the Artie Shaw Orchestra, with tenor saxophone great Scott Hamilton, and was a member of Tommy Gallant’s Trio and Jim Howe’s Trio for ten years each.
Special guest Aubrey Harris performed with country-star Keith Urban at the American Country Music Awards in 2012 and the audience may recognize her from her recent appearance on America’s Got Talent. About to attend Berklee College of Music, Harris is a young star on the rise!
