Under sail upon the high seas, and scattered across the globe – it was a way of life in Newburyport for most of the nineteenth century. See and experience an intimate and heartfelt tableau of Christmas Day life aboard Newburyport ships at sea, in this dramatic portrayal of the thoughts and emotions of our mariner ancestors far from home – revealed through entries in their ship logs.

Kate is producer, director and writer of our Voices of Christmas Past production, a project she initiated during a graduate studies internship at the Custom House Maritime Museum. She is very pleased that this show has been so well received these past few years, as she loved researching these wonderful journals! Come enjoy the show!
