Don Jalbert has been painting for over 35 years. Influenced primarily by the French and American Impressionists; Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Frank W. Benson and John C Terelak, to name a few. Don tries to capture the unique aspects of light and atmospheric conditions during different times of the day. His primary subjects are the farms and landscapes of Southern New Hampshire, as well as the resident wildlife of the region. Formerly of South Hampton, Don now lives and works in Epping, NH.
He has studied art at Springfield College, Salem State University, and Mass College of Art, earning his degree in Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College. Don was apprenticed to American Impressionist artist John C. Terelak for a period of ten years and credits his influence and teaching for all he is as an artist today. Don studied watercolor with Marina Forbes of Rochester NH, who he considers to be a fantastic teacher.
In the summer, Don can be found working on location out of his mobile studio; the back of his car. He teaches Web Development and Microsoft Computer Applications at Central Catholic High School. Don's resume also includes: 20 years as a football coach at St. John’s Prep, and over 10 years coaching field hockey. Don’s work was recently selected as Best in Category; Painting, at Topsfield Fair. His hobbies include music (bass guitar,singing), writing, reading, fishing and bird watching.

Jacqueline Cunningham is a professional artist and teacher, whose work is in collections from New England to California. She is inspired by moments in her country home, as well as New England landscapes with which she has an emotional and visual connection. She has received the Mary James & Slater Brown Memorial Award and an Honorable Mention at Rockport Art Association Contributing Members Shows. She is an active participant in several art association and guild shows. Most notably, she has won many top awards from juried shows hosted by Newburyport Arts Association and the Andover Artist Guild in the past ten years. |
