Event Description:
Scavenger Hunt, Olde Tyme Fun Faire, & Community Dinner
Don't miss one of the final events celebrating Newburyport's 250th Anniversary! While a community-wide Scavenger Hunt takes place throughout the city, the Bartlet Mall will be tranformed into a Community Faire to celebrate all that is Newburyport - past and present.
The community fair or Olde Tyme Fun Faire will take place at Bartlet Mall from 12-4PM. Stop by the Chamber's pumpkin carving station to create your one-of-a-kind jack-o-lantern! Bring your own pumpkin or buy one there from the Long Hill Orchard booth.
Then bring your carved pumpkin downtown for the Great Pumpkin Lighting & Stroll. Jack-o-lanterns will be placed on the Market Square stage for everyone to enjoy. At dusk, we will light all the pumpkins. Then stay to enjoy looking at everyone's creations, including pumpkins made by the store owners, many of whom will stay open late for evening shoppers.
End the evening with the pasta dinner back at City Hall, catered by Oregano Ristorante.
