Event Description:
Theater in the Open teams up with NCMF for a FREE puppet show with storytelling and music on Wednesday, August 2 at 11:00 am (Gate House at Maudslay State Park, 1 Spring Lane). Stories include "An Adventure at Granny's" (Little Red Riding Hood), "The Bremen Town Musicians," and "Rumpelstiltskin." If you enjoy "Peter and the Wolf," you will love this. All ages are welcome - bring a chair! (No tickets required)

The Gatekeeper's House at Maudsley State Park, originally known as the Forester's House, was constructed in 1903 at the southwest corner of the Maudsleigh Estate and served as a welcoming location and landmark to its visitors. The house was designed by William Gibbons Rantoul of the Boston firm, Jacques & Rantoul and is a classic example of American Shingle style. Rantoul’s distinctive use of the Shingle style can be seen throughout the remaining estate buildings.
