Now in its 4th year, the Earth Port Film Festival features short environmental films on the theme of creating, discovering, inspiring, catalyzing or documenting environmental action.
This year’s festival includes eight short films from the USA, Canada, and Australia, ranging from 3 to 20 minutes, covering stories from an animated Arctic fable to an Iraqi activist restoring marshlands in his native land; from an action to stop the Keystone XL pipeline to a young couple farming the land and building community in Whitefield, ME. Though not formally rated, the festival is recommended for a PG audience.
The film festival is organized by PortMedia and Transition Newburyport. Proceeds are used to support the training and development of Newburyport youth and adults in the art of communicating via film and video.
